What Is the Shipping Address in COD King?

The shipping address refers to the address provided by the customer during checkout, where their order will be delivered. COD King retrieves this same address directly from Shopify.

A shipping address typically includes:

• Customer Name
• Phone Number
• Street Address
• City
• State
• Postal Code (PIN code)

COD King does not modify the shipping address. It only displays it for confirmation.

What Is Prefilled Address in COD King?

The prefilled address feature means that when a customer opens the COD Verification Popup, their shipping details are automatically filled in without the need for manual entry.

This creates a smoother and faster experience.

The prefilled data includes:

• Name
• Phone
• Address line
• State
• City
• PIN code

All these details come directly from Shopify’s checkout/cart information.

The Prefilled Address feature in COD King is only available for customers in India, because it works through OTP verification and SMS delivery, which are currently supported only for Indian mobile numbers.

How Prefilled Address Works Inside COD King

The Shipping Address and Prefilled Address features in COD King are designed to make checkout and COD verification faster, easier, and more accurate.

• These features do NOT change, overwrite, or modify the shipping address entered by the customer in Shopify.

• The address is only retrieved and displayed during the COD verification step for confirmation purposes.

• To prevent misuse and protect customer data, the prefilled address is shown ONLY after successful OTP verification.

• Once the customer enters the correct OTP, COD King fetches the address linked to the customer’s phone number (if available).

• The customer can:
– Confirm the displayed address
– Edit the existing address
– Add a new address if needed

• This is especially helpful for returning customers, as they can quickly confirm their saved address without re-entering details.

• New customers can continue to add their address manually without any restriction.

• By confirming the address at the COD verification stage, COD King helps:
