SummaryA practical guide to COD verification, customer intent, and reducing avoidable delivery failures.

Cash on Delivery remains important for many Indian e-commerce shoppers. Verification introduces a deliberate confirmation step before fulfillment so merchants can make better-informed operational decisions.

## What COD verification does

COD verification asks the shopper to confirm that the order details and delivery intent are genuine before costly fulfillment work begins.

## Where verification fits

The most useful point is after order creation and before packing or dispatch.

## Designing the experience

Use simple language, identify the order clearly, make the required action obvious, and avoid requesting unnecessary information.

## Key takeaways

Verify before fulfillment costs are committed.

Keep confirmation short and understandable.

Use verification as one signal within the broader COD process.
